Got a CAD drawing emailed to me for this from my younger brother, Martin. The drum sander weighs about 400lbs, so it's not particularly easy to move. Since space in the shop is at a premium, he would like it out of the way when not in use. So he designed and I fabricated the base, complete with cantilevered wheel brackets to avoid making the throat an uncomfortable working height. He posted a picture on his woodworking web site to great accolades. |
