 In Texas, in summer, the top of a propane tank is a very hot place. Hot enough to fry the plants trying to grow up and over the top. So we designed and fabricated this trellis with a 4" standoff to allow enough air circulation to keep the plants cool. Though we didn't have a particularly hot summer this past year, we had excellent results with the plantings.
